Code of Conduct

Comhaltas Code of Behaviour

  • Comhaltas operates on principles of honesty, openness, fairness, and dignity, regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, or religious belief.
  • Participants are expected to treat others with respect, dignity, and sensitivity, behaving in a supportive and cooperative manner. 
  • All Comhaltas members, volunteers and guests are expected to adhere to these principles.
  • Comhaltas prioritises the protection of children and vulnerable adults, as shown in this policy:        CHILD SAFETY POLICY
  • Comhaltas has mechanisms for receiving and investigating complaints of inappropriate behaviour in a timely manner.
  • Any issues arising will need to be put in writing and sent to the Secretary or Branch President, not mentioned aloud in a public forum.
  • A sub-committee, consisting of the Branch President and 2 other members will deal with the issue.
  • Confidentiality will be maintained at all times.
